Is Adalo just for MVPs?

No-code often gets a reputation for just being the starting point for creating & validating an idea. However, Adalo currently supports apps that have up to 150,000 end users. We certainly don't want to be just a part of the beginning of your software journey, we want to be there for every step of the way.

Can I get the source-code to move away from the platform?

It actually doesn't work like that. The code is packaged up in a file that works for the App Stores & even though we hand over those files, they are not usable in traditional development.

Can I add custom code to my app?

Directly from the editor, it is not possible to add code i.e. we do not have a component that supports adding code. However, in 2020, we introduced our Component Marketplace, which is a place where people who can code are able to make their own component's to work inside their Adalo apps. These components can be private for individual use or public and available for other Adalo users.
